Description:
Recognized with experience with the worldís leading hospitality design firm, RGA ARCHITECTURE
has successfully experience with hotels, resorts and spas timeshare, luxury residential, retail and mixed
used projects.
This position reports to the Senior Project Manager and responsible for supporting the project team with
design development and construction documents. This position requires substantial design development
and architectural drafting experience. This position provides support for Architecture and interior
Architecture extensive architectural CAD and/or drafting expertise. The position of Architect requires the
ability to mentor the junior technical staff. The Architect must demonstrate technical knowledge and
leadership during all phases of project focusing on Design Development, Construction Documents as well
as Construction Administration.
Required Skills:
- A substantial level of understanding of design development and all phases of the construction process.
- A thorough level of understanding and experience in architectural drafting and design development.
- Extensive experience in providing architectural drafting support including detailed drawings, shop drawings and schedules on all phases of a project
- Must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Extensive experience and ability in the use of AutoCad-14/2008, Photoshop, Sketchup, Revit, Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understand the Construction Specification Certification for Document Technology.
- Familiarity with IBC Building Code standards for construction.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- A thorough understanding of technical regulations and engineering.
- Assures construction documents emphasize on efficiency, quality assurance and code compliance.
- A full understanding of translating design concepts into building assembly.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Completes working drawings, design sketches, presentation drawings, shop drawings, diagrams,
schedules and other computer generated or drafted documents from prepared drawings as assigned.
- Designs, plans and constructs models for new or modified structures.
- Coordinates and determines quantity and types of materials, while planning sequences for ordering
materials.
- Uses standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the interior design field.
- Understands and applies project standards to drafting assignments.
- Converts verbal and written directions from the Project Manager into products or documents for review.
- Handles other duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager, Senior Interior Designer or Project Manager
Job Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. Architecture and a minimum of 7 to 10 years as architectural drafter for large, projects including hotels.
